NZHRA Executive would like to thank Protecta Insurance for their sponsorship, Tony Tobinson, Zone 9 Director and Combined Zone 9 Clubs for putting on an amazing event that enabled NZHRA to cap the weekend off by drawing the lottery car.
It is a 1938 Ford Four Door Sedan, very tidy body, Jag front end, rack and pinon power steering, boosted disc brakes front and rear, Falcon diff with 17” Cragar’s on the rear and 15” Cragar’s on the front.
The engine is a 302 Ford with an Edelbrock intake manifold and alloy heads. The engine was dyno tested at 350 H.P. when the car was built and is bolted to a C4 Auto transmission that snaps through the gears well.
The upgraded headlights, tail lights and gauge cluster lighting on the dash makes driving at night a pleasure. The front doors have electric windows and the front seats are Falcon bucket seats and the interior is very tidy. The seating position is low but comfortable.
The body has a nice bright orange paint job which makes the car stand out on the road. The car handles very well and is easy to drive.
