CenturyYuasa 2010 NZHRA Street Rod Nationals

Beautiful Blenheim turned it on for the entrants of the CenturyYuasa 2010 NZHRA Street Rod Nationals over the Easter weekend. With cruises on both Friday and Saturday. The sun shone down and the public turned out to see the array of over 180 vehicles on display down Picton's main street on Saturday then at Lansdowne Park in Blenheim on Sunday.

Entrants were treated to some great entertainment at the Clubs of Marlborough each night, with two bands and a comdey act on the Saturday Night. Which entailed some very entertaining audience participation!

A great time was had by all, congratulations to Sun Valley Roadsters for putting on an awesome event and a big thanks to all our sponsors, including CenturyYuasa, Mothers, Kicker and Swann Insurance.

In Car Entertainment Trophies - Livin' Loud with Kicker Car Audio!

The Street Rod Nationals is done for another year and on behalf of the NZHRA Kicker NZ would like to congratulate the two winners of the I.C.E trophies in Blenheim.

Congratulations to Dale Clever in his 34 Ford coupe who picked up the Livin' Loud Stealth I.C.E trophy, "this car was a very nice surprise, I certainly wasn't expecting to find a 12" subwoofer and an amplifier in the 34, but that's what this category is all about" says Tony from Kicker, Dale also picked up a $250.00 Kicker voucher to go with his trophy.

The Livin' Loud I.C.E Custom trophy was collected by Andrew Weir in his 39 Plymouth rod, "This car was very, very cool, 4 monitors to keep passengers entertained on long trips, beautiful trunk install with the 2 x 10" subwoofers custom mounted, upholstered and stitched in the same material as the interior, the amplifier mounted on display, this was the whole package finished beautifully" says Tony from Kicker, Andrew also picked up a $250.00 Kicker voucher to go with his trophy.

If these 2 cars are anything to go by the future of the I.C.E trophies is going to get tougher to judge and be hotly contested, we look forward to seeing and hearing the systems that these car enthusiast come up with at future events, once again thank you to all who entered the I.C.E category and congratulations to Dale and Andrew, keep Livin' Loud.

NZHRA would like to thank all those who support our events..and we encourage members to support our supporters!
